The Society meets on the first Thursday of every month at the clubrooms of St. Marie’s Church Manchester Road, Bury at 7.45 p.m. The programme provides a series of varied meetings for those who have a knowledge of, or an interest in, Lancashire history in general and Bury history in particular. You can now buy the current issue on line RAMSBOTTOM HERITAGE SOCIETY WALKS The end of April sees the start of another summer of Sunday afternoon rambles with a historical twist. The walk leaders are all experienced walkers with an interest in the surrounding countryside and what it has to yield in nature and / or historical or industrial interest. This year we shall be visiting all areas of the borough beginning with " The Mills of Dearden Clough " on 22 April. The circular route goes uphill to Plunge Mill.
